Archangels Legion book review

Hello book lovers,  I told you I would finish this book so
n, it took me 3 days in total to read and Oh my Goodness I wish it never finished.

Angels are falling from the sky in New York, struck down by a vicious, unknown force.
Vampires are dying impossibly of disease.
Guild hunter Elena Deveraux and the Archangel Raphael must discover the source of the wave of death before it engulfs their city and their people, leaving New York a ruin and Raphael’s Tower under siege by enemy archangels.
Yet even as they fight desperately to save the city, an even darker force is stirring, its chill eyes trained on New York…and on Raphael. Rivers of crimson and nightmares given flesh, the world will never again be the same…

I was stuck into this book so much because Elena and Raphael became the main characters again which I have been waiting for in two books.

In this book You see Elena warming up to becoming a Consort and how the way she behaves can make Raphael more powerful and herself intimidating.  I love how Elena still keeps pushing at her consort to see how far she can go before he intimidates her with his power.  You see Elena worry for Raphael as he begins to have subtle changes of power which can be lethal to Elena.

Raphael on the other hand learns to use his consort to release his power and keep him sane, while battling his new powers which he has yet to handle.  Whilst finding out who is the reason behind the Cascade and what he can do to stop it while abnormal actions threaten his city.

Here are a few quotes from the book:

You are wearing no panties with another male in the room?Raphael ran his hand down Elena’s spine and over her lower curves, searching for lines and finding nothing but firm feminine flesh. You truly aren’t
Elena’s shoulders shook, deep creases in her cheeks. Oh, my God, you’re scandalized! Eyes tearing up in the effort to fight her laughter, she pressed her hands to his chest and stared down at the floor.Should I tell you I did find a way to wear a knife? In a thigh sheath.
Of course you did. What do panties matter so long as you have your steel.

“My mother,” he said, “has invited us to a ball.”
Elena pulled a blade from one of the butter-soft forearm sheaths that had been a gift from Raphael. “Excuse me while I stab myself in the eyes-and disembowel myself while I’m at it.”

“Arms wrapped around his neck, she kissed his temple. “I’m sorry I scared you.” It wasn’t the done thing for an archangel to admit fear, but he was hers, and she’d hurt him without meaning to; it was up to her to fix her mistake.
His wings shifted, but he didn’t extricate their bodies. “I didn’t know fear until you, Elena. Use the power wisely.”

I hope you are all interested and will go to buy the series I don’t know how I have never read them before, you will be captivated from the beginning till the end.
