Last episode of Vampire Diaries season 5

Hello everyone I just had to share this as myself, my sister and fiancé watch this show and OMG
I have never cried so much in the last episode of the season, if you haven’t seen it yet you have too,
it really pulled my heart strings and I was crying from halfway through 😥
What do you all think will happen next?

You all need to watch the series if you haven’t already, I am looking forward to season 6,
something good needs to happen already, poor Elena never seems to catch a break.

L’Oreal skin perfection primer vs Maybelline baby skin primer

ImageHello my lovelies,
Today I bring you my comparison between two primers, duh duh duuuhh….
The two I have chosen are both drug store brands.
They are:
– Maybelline New york Baby skin, instant pore eraser.
– L’Oreal Paris, Skin Perfection.

Maybelline New york- Baby skin, Instant pore eraser.

My first thoughts on this product is that I like the packaging it looks really cute, and bold which is good to catch the eye. I was a bit skeptical of this primer as a few people said it was a dupe for Porefessional but then these claims were being disproved, however I needed a primer and thought I would give it a go.

The primer does make my skin feel smooth, and it does have a silicone texture to it.  When I first tried this primer it went on my skin smoothly and filled my pores, however it does feel greasy and it did not stop my skin from becoming shiny through the day.  I would suggest this as a primer for people who have dryer skin and just need the skin softer for makeup.

L’Oreal Paris, Skin Perfection.

I was originally looking for the miracle blur primer which I have seen used by makeup Guru’s on Youtube however I cannot seem to get it in England and cannot find it on Amazon either, so when I saw this in Wilkinson I thought I would give it a go as it claimed to do exactly the same thing.

The packaging is not as nice as it could be especially coming for L’Oreal, however the pink does catch your eye.  I was dissapointed at first when I saw how small the tube was when I took it out of the box at home, after all I paid £8 and was expecting a bigger tube for a drug store brand.

However this primer works really well and I do not know why I stopped using it.
It has a very thick consistency so it is a little hard to apply to the face however, this primer smooths the skin makes imperfections look reduced, and my pores are instantly invisible (BONUS).  And the best thing about this primer is that my skin stayed matte for about 6 hours, and that was really good considering I was working on placement as a student nurse which is hard work.

In conclusion, I would recommend the Baby skin to those of you on a smaller budget who have dry skin as it would be perfect for you and it does make your skin feel like a baby 🙂
However the primer that stands out to me would have to be the L’Oreal Skin perfection as it did everything I needed it to do, and like I said before the only downside was that this primer was a little more expensive than the Baby skin and a lot smaller.

Busy Student Nurse

Hello my lovelies,

I am soo sorry that I have been unable to post anything beauty or book related but I have been super busy lately and will be unable to post anything to you all for another 3 weeks.
At the moment I have just finished producing an essay and poster to submit Tuesday which I finished just today  (phew) just a week early.  This week I have to revise my anatomy and physiology for an exam next Monday which I am scared of as I need to know a lot of conditions, treatments, nursing assessments and medication by then eek.

I then have another two exams followed by a practical exam.
My two exams are okay one is a retake on Randomized controlled trials and the other on conditions and medication calculations which I am more confident on as I did well in that last year.
So far I am happy with my second year of nursing I have passed all my essays so far and only need to retake one exam which was difficult to do.
Compared to last year I had already been referred in two essays but this time last year and was panicking (super stress freak here).

The one test I am nervous for but happy about is my practical which is called an ISCE this year where I need to demonstrate nursing skills on a patient at the university and I will be marked on EVERYTHING that I do from communication, hand washing and personal appearance.

That is all happening in the next 3 weeks, once they are done I will just be in placement until the end of July. but I will be able to read more in June and July and may have more money to review some more beauty products for you all, just bare with me please.  I just need to focus on these few things and then I will be back with a couple months worth of reviews and may have my sister help me too.

My sister may be popping up on my blog as she is moving in with my fiance and I to make it easier with money and so that we can spend some time together before we both go separate for our careers, where ever they may take us.

If you have requests from previous posts about books I have yet to read, or you want to know how I revise, the books I use or more of my life please feel free to comment below or ask me on twitter I am always available to answer them.

Miss you all

Estée Lauder trio lipsticks (old favorite).

ImageHello ladies thought I would bring you three lipsticks I was given a few years ago :p and I have been using them again and they are amazing and so colourful, and moisturising 🙂

Image  Image

There was originally four and the fourth was a fantastic vibrant red. However these lipsticks all have a different tone to them. the far left is a more pink colour with a small hint of a sheen to it, the middle lipstick has a maroon colour to it so more of a muddy red which is perfect with a clear gloss over the top.  And the far right is my favourite, it gives the colour of gold and has a sheen to it also, when I wear this lipstick it doesn’t make my lips bold but I love it.

The shades are well named and are gorgeous.
Left-Right we have: Candy, Fig and Tiger eye.

These lipsticks are moist and leave a perfect colour behind and I would definitely recommend these to you all to try.

LUSH: Cupcake face mask review.

Hey everyone I really need to start posting more so I will start writing more lists and try to post more often but I would love for you all to ask what you would like to see.

My post today is on the Cupcake face mask by LUSH.  What I love about LUSH is that all their beauty products are natural and are not full of harsh chemicals.
I have never used a face mask before but I have seen a lot of beauty videos on YouTube where Guru’s such as Nicole Guerrioro have used face masks and they swear by them, so I thought why not.

Lush was very nice and I made the decision for this face mask because it states for oily skin.
OMG this mask is amazing I need to use it more than once a week.  It states to apply the mask all over the skin but not near the eyes and leave for 10 mins.
Washing it off is fun (:P) My sink looked like someone had thrown mud everywhere haha, it was fun taking it off so next time I may use it before I shower.
Anyway the results were amazing, I am prone to blackheads over my nose and chin, well this mask cleaned my skin so well that I had no blackheads anywhere on my skin.
The only thing I do not like about this mask is that is said it smells like chocolate and mint but I find the smell off putting and smells funky, however I would not change the mask as the results are so good.

I definitely recommend this mask to all of you men and women 😉 I made my fiancé use it one night because he has spot prone skin as well as me, and he noticed a huge difference after one use as well.  He also found it hilarious applying it to my face.

I hope this helps you all… follow me on instagram and twitter for picture updates and more from my blog and life.
