Stolen Flame – Book Review

stolen-flameVivian is excited about this weekend. Why wouldn’t she be? She is finally turning twenty-one, and she knows for-a-fact that Liam, the man of her dreams is in love with her too. On the eve of her birthday, her world comes crashing down when she is taken from her home.

Now, instead of spending her birthday in Liam-heaven, she learns that she will be forced to take part in The Chamber, a lavish sex club for the world’s richest and most powerful men. She finds early on that she will not suffer her sentence alone. With the budding sisterhood of the six other women taken at the same time, along with an unexpected ally, Vivian will discover an inner strength and love that she never knew existed.

Stolen Flame is part of a series, and while each book is interconnected, each book in the series stands alone. Due to the adult content and themes, this book is not intended for persons under the age of 18.

I enjoyed this book very much. The whole story is based over a year.
In that year Vivian “Flame” gets kidnapped the night before her 21st birthday to be taken to the “chamber”. The Chamber allows 35 well off/millionaire men to pay for a years worth of sex with 7 hand picked women/girls from all over the world.
Vivian is a 20 yr old virgin, which all changes on the night of her 21st Birthday whe
she meets Tyson “Dominic” who becomes her personal protector/guard for the year.  Each of the girls receive a new name while in the Chamber and Vivian’s is Flame.

Flame then endures sex 5 days a week with men she doesn’t know, all to protect her family for the next year before her release. She is promised that as long as she follows through with the Chamber and does not try to escape, her family will not be killed and she will be rewarded generously at the end.

I found some parts of this book immature, however this is understandable due to the book being from the point of view of a 21 yr old virgin experiencing, what no other girl her age has ever had to endure.  I’m in my early 20’s so I completely understood why certain words were used and why Vivian used “Thunderdick” to describe a man haha, we can all be immature, but this was the funniest.  On the other hand this story does show Vivian maturing, after all she has to become stronger considering her new “job”.
She loves Liam however at the end of the book she has to choose what she really wants, after all she has grown up a considerable lot in the last year. Will Vivian still see Liam as the same person as she did before she left?

I liked the fast pace of the story.  Each chapter explored either Liam’s feelings or Vivian’s new life as a chamber maid.  There was never a dull moment.

I got to empathise with the 7 women involved in this story. I was hooked, my Fiancé had to tell me to stop reading so that I could get some sleep, oops.

I believe Stolen flame has a few meanings to it, for example the main reason is of course she was taken from her own home “stolen” and then given the name “flame”.
However I think other reasons could be, she lost her virginity which wasn’t technically by choice, could also be that she has taken the hearts of two men who now want her to be free of The Chamber.

I would definitely recommend this book to adults, obviously taking note of the sexual nature of this book, but I think this book could be more for people like myself in their 20’s unless you don’t mind younger writing/mind set.

There are 7 books in the series- Each focus on the different girls who were trapped in the Chamber with Vivian “flame”.
