What have I recently finished –

What blood contaminates, only blood can cleanse.

The last city on Earth is contaminated. Now blood is the only thing that can wash it clean.
Julia is trapped inside the Blue as the Nobles fight over the few humans who are still alive. When the dust settles and she finds herself shackled to a new master, she knows she must escape or die.
Meanwhile, Cam has gathered a handful of comrades and is on his way into the Red to rescue his queen. But not all of his friends can be trusted, and not all of them will make it back alive.
The Silver Queen is the second book in Josie Jaffrey’s Sovereign trilogy, set in a dystopian Europe where vampiric Nobles control the last remnants of the human race.

What am I currently reading –

New Orleans is a city known for its paranormal history—and it’s the place Emma Rose Crane, AKA Mattie Hathaway, has come home to.

She hopes she can start over in New Orleans, where her ability to see ghosts isn’t so freaky. She’s even starting college, but the whole thing would be a lot easier if she weren’t faced with a family she barely knows, all while dealing with the loss of someone she loved.

Can she really escape her past and be semi-normal? Even with her sister Mary and best friend Eric by her side, it’s going to be a wild ride once she agrees to help Mary’s new friends investigate a “haunted” house.

The house’s new occupants are terrified, and the ghost seems to be attacking their little girl, leaving everyone desperate for answers. Emma isn’t sure what to think when she discovers Dr. Lawrence Olivet was also invited to investigate.

Will her gifts be enough to save the family that is currently being stalked in their own home? And when some of her own family’s long-kept secrets come to light, will her fresh start be over before it even begins?

What will I read next –

Two years ago, he took my innocence and ran,
Luckily for me, he’s a slow runner.
He doesn’t know that he gave me the most beautiful gift in the world – my son.
I’m going to give him a gift too – revenge!
And if he’s thinking he can get me and my son…
Well, he can go take a walk!

She’s my best friend’s little sister.
I should never have touched her.
But I did.
She was hot. She was fun. She was begging me for it.
So I gave it to her… all night long.
I told her I loved her. I promised her the moon and stars.
I meant every word.
Then I vanished. I couldn’t tell her why. I still can’t.
We haven’t talked since.
But I saw her yesterday. She’s still hot enough to stop traffic,
Even with a kid.
She’s got secrets, but so do I.
I know she still wants me, but she’s not begging this time.
This time she wants me to beg.
But I don’t beg. I take.
And I’m taking Jessi. Secrets and all.

What Happens On New Year’s Eve – Cover Reveal

Title: What Happens on New Year’s Eve Anthology
Authors: Rocelle Allison ~ Santana Blair ~ Danielle Brenna ~ Elle Christensen ~ Lucy Gage ~ Jessica Ingro ~ Kelli Jean and Vanessa Morse
Genre: Romance
Release Date: December 26, 2018 Cover Art: Recreatives
New Year’s Eve happens once every year.
The passage of time—it’s inevitable.
Some people celebrate at home with friends. Many more find themselves at social gatherings where candy colored drinks, a few too many flutes of Champagne, and too-tiny appetizers can make for lowered inhibitions and questionable decisions.
Whichever way you deal with the annual milestone, when the clock strikes midnight, life can seem ripe with possibilities. Especially when you see someone across the room who makes you want to slip under some leftover mistletoe after a round of Auld Lang Syne.
Is it love? Is it lust? Or just what happens on New Year’s Eve?
*What Happens on New Year’s Eve is a collection of fun and sexy short stories from a group of fun and sometimes sexy authors. Or maybe they’re ninjas.*

What am I Currently Reading

Okay I changed my choice from last week because I enjoyed the first books so much.

What have I Recently Finished

In the last city on Earth, death is just a step into the trees.

In the Blue, the world’s last city, all is not well.

Julia is stuck within its walls. She serves the nobility from a distance until she meets Lucas, who believes in fairytales that her world can’t accommodate. The Blue is her prison, not her castle, and she’d escape into the trees if she didn’t know that contamination and death awaited humanity outside.

But not everyone in the Blue is human, and not everyone can be contained.

Beyond the city’s boundaries, in the wild forests of the Red, Cameron has precious little humanity left to lose. As he searches for a lost queen, he finds an enemy rising that he thought long dead. An enemy that the humans have forgotten how to fight.

One way or another, the walls of the Blue are going to come down. The only question is what side you’ll be on when they do.

What will I read next?

New Orleans is a city known for its paranormal history—and it’s the place Emma Rose Crane, AKA Mattie Hathaway, has come home to.

Books I Want To Read In December

I have reduced my goal to 20 for the rest of this year, not much left I know.  My aim is to complete 4/5 books this month.  Very ambitious however there are a couple I am very excited to read, so hoping I may be able to find time to read 2 a week.  Not all are available via amazon but are on Goodreads. Does leaving one half read count?
