L’Oreal True Match highlighter-First impression

Hello all my beauty followers,  I went out and splurged on some new makeup, just because it was my birthday 🙂 why not.

Today’s main first impression is about the L’Oreal true match highlights.  I am not sure how long they have been on sale for but I am actually impressed. I tried it today for the first time and fell in love.

This powder highlight cost me £7.99 and I got mine in the shade icy glow.  There are two shades, the other is more of a bronze highlight called Golden Glow.

A collection of 4 iridescent powder highlighters which blend effortlessly together for all over illumination or to highlight key areas.

Designed in 2 light enhancing shades. An iridescent golden glow that enhances the overall complexion with a luminous finish, perfect for medium to dark skin tones. Or a pearlescent icy glow for a subtle highlight to a radiant glow, perfect for light to medium skin tones.

Ultra fine pigment and highly blendable formula.  (L’Oreal)

Pro tip: Transition your natural radiance from day to night with True Match Highlight by applying the powder illuminator with a damp brush for a more intense glow.

I personally loved the pink/bronze shade on the right, that was what I used in the picture above.  The other two are beautiful but not as pigmented.  All of these together I think would look gorgeous.  I obviously haven’t used it long enough to give a proper review.  We will have to see if I like it more than my Sleek Highlighting palette.
There was a small amount of fall out, not a lot, but I did find I had to swirl my brush around a bit to get enough product, so it is not as pigmented as I thought.

As a first impression I like it, I will keep testing it out and let you all know what I think, but I do like that it has a possibility of using 4 shades 🙂

Airspun setting powder

Hello, and welcome back to my blog.  Today’s post is beauty related and is a product review about: Airspun.  I had never heard of this product until I started watching Patrick Starr on YouTube and he raves about this powder.  When I had a look on Amazon, it was only £7.41.  For all my fellow England followers, you can only buy this on Amazon or EBay there isn’t any shops here that sell this.

This product is  “an exclusive Microspun formula where loose powder particles are spun and swirled until they reach a cloudlike softness. This ultra smooth powder hides tiny lines, wrinkles and blemishes and gives a new softness to your skin. Use to set make up or as a foundation. Long lasting. Dermatologically tested.”

The applicator is extremely soft and great for applying the translucent powder to the skin.  I pour a good amount into the lid and then apply it all over my fave, I used to use it under my eyes but now I am addicted and have to apply it everywhere.  The picture below shows how translucent the powder is, which is great because I find some powders still make my foundation look whiter when it states TRANSLUSCENT.

I love how soft the powder is, and it has any amazing smell as well, I can’t quite explain but it smells like summer to me with a small floral scent.

It works wonders on my skin, it never leaves patchy areas and it never clumps.  It is super fine and super affordable.  I really recommend this to people who are starting out with makeup and don’t want to spend a fortune.  I have had it a couple weeks now and basically use it every day and it works wonders, it lasts up to 10 hours I would say and that’s working under hard conditions…. Some of you may know I’m a nurse and my job can get quite hot especially as the heating is on in the hospital still, and this powder keeps my foundation in place for a long time and hasn’t let me down.

My skin can become very sensitive and break out with new products but with this powder my skin actually settled and felt softer.  However I wouldn’t use the powder on its own like it said above as I found it just stuck to the dry areas of my skin and made me look very pale.

If you have tried this before please comment below for other readers to decide if this is for them.

Makeup HAUL

Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog, to keep up to date please press the follow button.

Well I went shopping Saturday with a friend and went a little crazy.  I went to Boots first which is a drug/pharmacy store to get my favourite foundation at the moment which is, Maybelline dream satin liquid.  Whilst there I saw the new Dream velvet foundation which has been trending on Instagram and on other blogs, so I thought I would buy that as Maybelline was having a deal where I could buy one product and get the other half price, totalling at £11.98.

I then needed some more concealer from urban Decay as I’m sure I’m about to run out of the naked skin concealer. Whilst there the sales girl said that they were having a deal that day where if I bought £50 worth of products I could get £10 off.  Well I was sucked in then and asked her which was best,  she suggested the primer potion which I have been keeping an eye on for a while now and thought I need to give it a go, as the reviews are amazing.  Then she suggested a setting spray, the spray I bought was the 16hour one and she said it is suitable for dry and oily skin,  bonus. So I ended up paying £59 in Urban Decay oops.

I’m thinking of doing a review for all individually for you all if you’re interested.
