“Oh, Naasir. So weird, so bloodthirsty, so unique and wonderful…I have fallen for him…”—Fiction Vixen

Naasir is the most feral of the powerful group of vampires and angels known as the Seven, his loyalty pledged to the Archangel Raphael. When rumors surface of a plot to murder the former Archangel of Persia, now lost in the Sleep of the Ancients, Naasir is dispatched to find him. For only he possesses the tracking skills required—those more common to predatory animals than to man.

Enlisted to accompany Naasir, Andromeda, a young angelic scholar with dangerous secrets, is fascinated by his nature—at once playful and brilliant, sensual and brutal. As they race to find the Sleeping archangel before it’s too late, Naasir will force her to question all she knows…and tempt her to walk into the magnificent, feral darkness of his world. But first they must survive an enemy vicious enough to shatter the greatest taboo of the angelic race and plunge the world into a screaming nightmare…

With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Patch draws Nora to him against her better judgment.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora’s not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can’t decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.

For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen – and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life.

A gate of night By Bella Forrest

Welcome back to The Shade…

Derek and Sofia are finally enjoying a well-deserved break. Staying at a resort with good food, sun and sea, Sofia is thrilled to witness Derek’s re-introduction to the human world.

They would almost be mistaken for a normal young couple, if it were not for the red-eyed monster lurking in the shadows and watching their every move, waiting for his signal to pounce…

Note: Derek and Sofia’s story completes in Book 7 of the series: A Break of Day, and the characters embark on entirely new adventures from Book 8.

Hello all and welcome back to my blog.  I bring you a new book which I have not read yet, but it is currently sitting on my desk ready to be read next.

This book is number 6 in the A shade of vampire series by Bella Forrest.  I would say this series is more for young adults, with paranormal, fantasy and mild romance.
This book is available on Amazon for £7.99 in paperback which is a bargain and has a 4.8/5 star review by 259 people.

A blaze of sun: Book review.

Welcome back to The Shade…

“Of course you know who I am. I’m a daughter of the darkness just as surely as you are his son…”

Ever since his brief encounter with Emilia at The Shade, Derek’s thoughts and dreams have been haunted with images of the mysterious, beautiful brunette. Plagued with guilt, he struggles to understand why he is so drawn to this dark stranger from his past.

When Emilia suddenly appears again on the island, Derek is both terrified and intrigued. But this time, he is determined to involve Sofia and discover who this woman is.

If only Derek and Sofia knew, Emilia is a mystery that should be left undiscovered…

Hello everyone, welcome back to another review on the 5th book of the Shade of vampire series, and I loved it.
The story carried on with Sofia and Derek, but with Emilia stirring up everything it becomes more intense and both Derek and Sofia have to prove that their relationship is stronger than any witches power, and fight through a battle of love, darkness and power.

This whole book was wrote so well and in fantastic detail, I loved how each chapter was about a different character instead of focusing on one point of view.  I was able to sympathise with certain characters more this way, however I did not like Emilia’s character.
The love triangles between different characters were very well done, and structured beautifully.

The only bad thing was sometimes I would get a little bored with some characters which meant I did skip a few lines or so, however overall I did enjoy the book.

The ending I now notice is definitely linked to the title and now looking back the cure was simpler than I thought but I think it really added to the book because I think as a reader we over think the plots but there really isn’t anything to over think.

I would definitely recommend this book to all you vampire, fantasy lovers, it was absolutely amazing.
I gave the book 5 stars on Good reads,

I am really looking forward now to the next book because the way book 5 ended left me wanting more and is definitely making me want to read the Kiev series,

Hannah’s Beautiful Fantasy

A shade of Light by Bella Forrest.

18176462Since the implosion at The Oasis and Derek’s stay at Hawk Headquarters, The Shade has fallen into a state of utter chaos. To make matters worse, the citizens of Derek’s kingdom have become suspicious of his loyalties and accuse him of siding with the enemy… At a time when Derek desperately needs full cooperation from his subjects, they wish to put their own King on trial.

Meanwhile, Sofia is being held hostage by the hunters. They are determined to rid her of her infatuation with the vampire. She submits to the strict routine and training they impose on her, but the only fuel that keeps her going is the thought of reuniting with Derek – something Reuben is fighting with every fiber of his being to ensure will never happen.

…Until one day, out of the blue, Reuben appears to have a change of heart and comes to Sofia with a proposal; a solution that she never dreamed possible. A solution that would fulfil her heart’s deepest desires and secure her and Derek’s future together, forever.

But can she really trust this man who is so renowned for his hatred of vampires? Does she even have a choice?

My thoughts on the book are that I love how we see both Derek and Sofia grow up and come into themselves.
Derek is facing the darkness yet he has to gather all the self control he has left, by picturing Sofia’s touch and her face.  Yet he is pushed to his limits with the vampires doubting Derek’s choices and the humans shutting themselves away from what they feel is the end.
While Sofia is battling her own issues when she finds out that her father is the leader of the hunters.  Yet Sofia has to deal with not only her dad who she hasn’t seen for years but also her mother who is now a vampire set to give her daughter to the one vampire who just intends to use Sofia as his pet.
I like how we discover why Sofia is so important in this book and why so many crave her blood, she isn’t a normal human.
Derek on the other hand is so romantic and caring for someone who was turned when he was 17, he acts like a gentleman and deals with his issues whilst still craving the love of his dear Sofia.
I instantly had a disliking towards Sofia’s mother, Bella Forrest has really put a lot of detail into the characters which really help me picture the worst mother who gives up everything just because she is jealous her daughter has taken her husbands heart!  What sort of mother does that?
In this book I have begun to like Claudia where as in the other books she was portrayed to be inconsiderate and unable to feel love, in this book I have now seen her vulnerable side and feel empathy for her.  Especially when I read how she was made so vulnerable and was not given the chance to have love, therefor now she is just misunderstood and now craving the man she has spent most of her vampire life trying to repulse.

I definitely recommend this book to you all to read after you have read the other 3 of course, this has everything.  And in my mind the book is structured and wrote so well that it flows effortlessly, if you have the time purchase the books they are very cheap on the kindle and well worth the buy.

I hope this has been a good insight to the book for you and given you an idea of what to expect.

A castle of sand: Book review.

Today I bring you all the third installment of A shade of vampire, A castle of sand.  Here are the links to the first two books that I reviewed.
Book 1: https://hannahsbeautifulfantasy.wordpress.com/2014/08/22/a-shade-of-vampire-book-review/
Book 2: https://hannahsbeautifulfantasy.wordpress.com/2014/09/06/a-shade-of-blood-book-review/

What Sofia has with Derek feels like a sandcastle; temporary and something that the waves of the life and time will soon win…

Since the return of Gregor Novak, the island has turned several shades darker,  His hatred toward Sofia and thirst for fresh blood lead to a brutal war igniting between father and son.

Meanwhile the hunter’s are gaining formidable strength and resources by the day; they know that the safety of the shade hands entirely on its ability to remain hidden from them.

And a sinister secret lies in wait for Sofia within the bowels of an Egyptian desert a secret that threatens to crush her sandcastle much sooner than she could have expected….

Gregor Novak comes to claim his throne from his son Derek, and to change all rules set by Derek and to get rid of Sofia and her influence on his son.
Due to Gregor’s return Derek is reminded that his slaves/friends as well as Sofia after a year either have to be killed, turned into a vampire or sent to the Catacombs where all humans are to spend the rest of their lives.  With this decision Sofia has to decide what she is too do with her life if she is to show her love to Derek.  To give her the space Derek makes a pent house in the catacombs much to the disgust of the other humans living there.

War is only just beginning with Derek and Gregor, however to make things worse Sofia realises her mother is no longer human but a sick twisted vampire just like Gregor.

This book is well done, I love how Bella has included the end of the book into the first chapter, therefore there was suspense all the way through the book because I knew there was going to be a fight but the whole book took me on a long journey to find out how Sofia and Derek got themselves into a win or die situation.
The story line just gets better and better, this book was my favourite so far because I was getting to know nearly all the characters, and the story line is coming together making it easier to understand what makes people the way they are, however there are still some secrets left to uncover which is great when leading each book into one another.
The evil is intensified and so is the relationship between Sofia and Derek.

If you read my other reviews you will see that I rave about this book all the time.

A shade of Blood: Book review

Hello book lovers, especially my fantasy book lovers.
I bring you today the second book in the A shade of Vampire series by Bella Forrest, you may remember my older post on the first book called a shade of vampire.  I am a bit behind in updating my blog as I am now on the fourth book so if you would like to hear about the next book please comment below.

When Sofia Claremont was kidnapped by a sunless island. Uncharted by any map and ruled by the most powerful vampire coven on the planet.  She believed shed forever be a captive of its dark ruler, Derek Novak.
Now after months of surviving an endless night, the morning sun may soon rise again for Sofia.  Something has possessed Derek’s heart and he offers her a gift no human slave has ever been given in the history of his cursed island: escape.
High School, prom, and a chance to move on with her life now await her.
But will she be able to forget the horrors that steal her sleep away at night?
…..Or the feelings that haunt her for that tormented prince of darkness…….

Brief over view:
Once Sofia and Ben escape they try to take their own relationship to the next level, while trying to forget what happened to them at the Shade.

Since Ben’s encounters with Claudia he can no longer feel, he misses all the touches from Sofia and wishes he could experience her like he would have if he didn’t mistreat Sofia on the night of her Birthday.

Sofia battles on a daily basis to forget Derek, the man she truly loves however she has to keep telling herself that he is immortal, how does that relationship last with a mortal like her.

Without Sofia to keep Derek himself, he turns to his dark side, where he has no feelings and he will kill, feed, and take advantage of his slaves (Sofia’s friends at the shade).

Sofia hits the biggest decision of her life.  Ben notices that Sofia is no longer as close to him as she was before the Shade and he finds pictures of Derek under her pillow as well as her sketching of him.  Now Sofia has to choose between the two best men in her life, when she chooses Derek we then see what Ben decides to do with his life to get Sofia back.

I absolutely loved this book like I did with the last, this book did last longer that the first, as well as giving a bigger background on some of the characters which I wanted to read more on.

I love the relationship dilemmas and how a girl of 17 deals with them.  This book was definitely well wrote and Bella deserves huge appreciation, I can imagine every scene in detail she is that good.
You all need to read this book, comment below for more details but I didn’t want to spoil too much for you all as you do need to read from the beginning and imagine the characters yourself.
