End Of The Month Review Roundup – And I’m Married!

Hello all, I hope you all had a wonderful month. Mine has been a busy one for sure. On the 23rd I married Craig, say hello to Mr and Mrs Jones. This was our 10 year anniversary together exactly, it was a lovely day but went by so fast. Clayne enjoyed all the attention (If you want to see more wedding photos comment below).
My little boy Clayne turned 9 months old on the 26th, I cannot believe how fast he is growing up. I don’t think it will be long before he starts walking, and is currently walking along furniture babbling at the top of his lungs.
As you all read this today is the day I go back to work after 9 months off on maternity leave, I am apprehensive, but looking forward to working with my colleagues again and using these two days a week at work as some “me time”.

Lets get into the books, I have been trying to read one book a week but did slack in the last week, my apologies. But I am trying to get back into a routine.

Here are my 3 reviews from March, if I included my sons books I would have a huge list haha. I hope you all enjoy the first day of April, and please stay tuned for more coming to my blog.

BookTube ??

Hey everyone,

Was just looking into Book Bloggers using YouTube for reviews, and feel inspired.
I love this blog and hope to expand it.
If I was to do this I would still post the review on here for those of you who prefer to read rather than watch a review.
Obviously my time is very limited lately, I did try book reviews on YouTube about 2/3 years ago and 2 of the reviews are on Youtube at the moment, however I did find recording book reviews took me a long time, due to recording, editing and then uploading.  I also have no idea what video editor would be good that doesn’t cost me a fortune.  I also have no idea which camera would be best??

If you think it is a good idea for me please comment below.  Or do you prefer my normal blog posts?
Any comments would be appreciated I need to learn.

Here are a few of my reviews I did a while ago:

The Reading Slump to End All Reading Slumps

Helllllo readers, today’s post is a little different because I’m not doing a book tag but instead I wanted to talk about my most recent reading-slump. Before I get into it I just wanted to make a note that despite the slump I’ve still being reading and reviewing as you will have probably seen – […]

Book review: Crossing the Line.

Hello everyone today I bring you Crossing the line by Ally Bishop, first of all the book is brand new out there, as shown above it was released on the 8th of June and I was asked to give an honest review.  And I have to say for my first review in a while it was great to get back to reading and this book did not disappoint me at all.  The genre of this book it erotica which appears to be the only books I am reading 😉 (oops, not a bad thing), here is an insight into the story.

I’ve never believed in love at first sight, which is probably why I write mysteries, and not romances, for a living. Besides, I’m too focused on expanding Elementary, a mystery dinner party business I own with my brother Noah. I don’t have time for romance.
When the handsome and successful Ian Crane books our services, I can barely keep my wits about me. He’s setting fire to all my rules, and I can’t resist his flames.
I don’t recognize the woman I’m becoming, but I don’t want to go back to who I was. There’s a part of me that can’t help wondering, what if he’s too good to be true? Because if he is, my heart will be nothing more than ashes.

Heat rating: Toasty warm, with plenty of flames  (On Amazon: available on the kindle for £2.61, or for paper back £5.88.

The two main characters are Ian Crane and Ella Storm (story line from Ella’s point of view).  First of all I have nothing bad to say about this book it ticked all the boxes and I was not bored once while reading (and we are all guilty of missing a few lines to speed a book along).
Both have interesting backgrounds and Ian is not a typical millionaire he is the first character in an erotic book who doesn’t own a business but in fact makes good money as an attorney, which gave some new light on these books.

My impression of this book is that it is two people both experiencing loss and because of that and a business meeting they both start to have a whirlwind romance over the time span of a week for the main proportion of the book, now the book also include two close friends of Ella’s which also have a lot to say in the book as well which is also new to me, as usually most erotic books focus on the two main characters, and because of the friends I found the story flowed better.  Another bonus to this book is that it is short and sweet, by that I mean it gets to the point, no waiting around for ages waiting for the inevitable, everything happens fast but in a structured order, and shows their life over 2-3 years.
I completed this book in 3 sittings so in all I believe I read for about 7 hours, and would recommend everybody else to read it, it’s not disappointing and definitely has the right balance of erotica, romance, and a chance to become a series.

If you are interested please give it a read I promise you it will not disappoint.

I hope you all enjoyed don’t forget to follow me and follow me on other forms of social media, and if you have any questions about the book or my blog feel free to contact me.  🙂

Have a fantastic day/evening, and I hope to post more to you all soon.

Angel’s Flight: Nalini Singh.

I am currently reading this book by Nalini Singh.  This book contains 4 short stories: Angel’s pawn, Angel’s judgement, Angel’s wolf, and finally Angel’s Dance.

I have been reading this book for a couple months now which is NAUGHTY of me!  I am currently on Angel’s wolf.  I love this book so far as the stories are very short meaning the story cuts to the chase and I didn’t have to wait to see what happened to the characters.
This book ties into the main series, guild hunter series.  My favourite story so far is Angel’s judgement because if you have read the main series already like I have then you will already know who Sara and Deacon are.  This short story explains how the two meet.  Each individual character has their own enchanting background which will leave you wanting to know more.

I believe that the whole book has a romantic base, with two separate people coming together either to fight or protect one another, which leads them into each others arms  (I am a sucker for romance).

So far the book has been really good I just wish I had more time to read so that I can catch up with the story line and read the next book in the Guild hunter series.  If you want fantasy, vampires, angels and hunters then you have to read this series I have raved about it so many times before :p and the author is so lovely and replied to tweets with any answers you may have.
Now this book is available I believe as separate books however I bought mine as one which is easier I think. I won’t give you an overall book review at the end as there is nothing bad about this book, its descriptive, sets the scene and really gives good grounding on what the life was like for the characters in the past before they all became involved with Raphael (Who you will know is an Archangel if you read the series).

Please suggest more books for me to read below I have a few book reviews to do which have been requested however they are more erotic so please suggest a different genre if you prefer below.

Where have you been?…… Nursing.

Hey all, sorry again it has been a crazy year and I know it’s no excuse to not keep writing.L&M Final-562

In the last couple months I have been super busy as I have been writing essays, and working full time for placement, as well as going to interviews.  Great news is I have a Job for September when I qualify as a registered nurse! I am super excited!
This month I am finishing my placement as well as completing my dissertation so I am a little busy, but I promise next month I will have more time as I will only have one exam, a practical and one more placement to complete, so I will FINALLY be able to read with free time :p

I have a few book reviews lined up for you all, some are books I bought myself and others are requested so keep an eye out for them.  Also submit any suggestions down below 🙂

Hope you are all keeping well and I will be back soon.

Hannah
