Current Read: Digital Velocity

Lexi Donovan has risen from teenage orphan of the streets to complete independence with little help along the way. When a pervert threatens her friend, she sends an anonymous message to police, leading to a firefight that leaves a cop wounded.
Detective Ethan McAllister’s well-ordered life turned upside down the day an obscure text message led to a sexual predator’s identity and arrest. Since then, Callouston PD’s finest can’t trace the elusive hacker. The latest tip leads him to a brutal mutilation and a riddle indicating the identity of the next murder victim.
The dark net houses a playground for the morally depleted and criminally insane. When Lexi discovers the killer’s digital betting arena, she finds herself centered in a cyber stalker’s crosshairs, a psychopath bearing equal talent.
Street life strengthened Lexi while toughening her protective shell, but nothing could shield her from the shrewd detective forging a path to her heart.

Where have I been, Book tube and Current read.

Front garden.jpgHello my lovely beauty and book followers.  AGAIN I have been gone for over a week.  Sometimes life just gets in the way.

As many of you know that follow me I am a full time nurse, and that includes a variety of shifts as my job is 24/7.  This is not the first time I have posted about this.
This week I have been on 4 night shifts which were busier than I planned, therefore I did miss breaks so I was not able to read in free time to get a review up and ready for you today.
Thursdays night shift was BAD, oh my goodness, by Friday morning I was so tired, exhausted I just wanted my bed.   Since then I have not been able to switch my body clock back as I do have another night shift tomorrow…. Boo, then back onto 3 days.
But I can assure you I am going to be reading this week.

Good reads cover

I plan to finish this book this week, I am half way through and it is very good.  I am definitely going to get back into reviewing, I was doing so well for a month haha.  Ooops.

Here is the link to me introducing the book to you:  New Read: In His Corner

I brought up in a previous post that I was thinking of starting Book tube as a new way to share my love for books.  As well as sharing my love for makeup like I do on this blog.

I have set up a new channel, and uploaded 3 videos that I did about 3 years ago before my life became hectic, but I am serious and ready to start it very soon.
Please check them out and advise me, if you’re a book tuber please comment below and help me out, it is really appreciated.  Link below

Hey everyone,

Was just looking into Book Bloggers using YouTube for reviews, and feel inspired.
I love this blog and hope to expand it.
If I was to do this I would still post the review on here for those of you who prefer to read rather than watch a review.
Obviously my time is very limited lately, I did try book reviews on YouTube about 2/3 years ago and 2 of the reviews are on Youtube at the moment, however I did find recording book reviews took me a long time, due to recording, editing and then uploading.  I also have no idea what video editor would be good that doesn’t cost me a fortune.  I also have no idea which camera would be best??

If you think it is a good idea for me please comment below.  Or do you prefer my normal blog posts?
Any comments would be appreciated I need to learn.

Here are a few of my reviews I did a while ago:

Starstruck

City of bones

Angels Blood

New books

Hello all and welcome back to my blog, I hope you all like the new design.
I haven’t posted anything about books for a while.  I can only apologise for that, I have been working a lot lately and then coming home to sleep.  But I promise to kick myself back into gear for 2017, especially as I have about 5 to review and 4 of my own books I want to read.

While I was in ASDA the other day they had a promotion where I could get 2 books for £7.  Let me introduce you to the 2 I chose.
To go to Amazon to buy them please click the same images under each heading.

The Girl on the Train    Click the pic for the link

Rachel catches the same commuter train every morning. She knows it will wait at the same signal each time, overlooking a row of back gardens. She’s even started to feel like she knows the people who live in one of the houses. ‘Jess and Jason’, she calls them. Their life – as she sees it – is perfect. If only Rachel could be that happy.

And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough.

Now everything’s changed. Now Rachel has a chance to become a part of the lives she’s only watched from afar.

Now they’ll see; she’s much more than just the girl on the train…

Me before you

Lou Clark knows lots of things. She knows how many footsteps there are between the bus stop and home. She knows she likes working in The Buttered Bun tea shop and she knows she might not love her boyfriend Patrick.

What Lou doesn’t know is she’s about to lose her job or that knowing what’s coming is what keeps her sane.

Will Traynor knows his motorcycle accident took away his desire to live. He knows everything feels very small and rather joyless now and he knows exactly how he’s going to put a stop to that.

What Will doesn’t know is that Lou is about to burst into his world in a riot of colour. And neither of them knows they’re going to change the other for all time.
